Digital Twin of Doha’s Road Network

Technology: SCANeR Studio Simulation Engine

Keywords: Simulation, Digital Twins

As Lead Development Engineer, I spearheaded critical aspects of the company’s driving simulation platform focusing on immersive, research-driven virtual environments.

Key Contributions:

Digital Twin Creation:

Designed and developed two digital twins of Doha’s real-world road infrastructure. These virtual replicas featured accurate road geometries, traffic signs, and urban layouts, enabling authentic driving experiences aligned with local context.

Custom Scenario Development:

Created and fine-tuned custom simulation scenarios to study and evaluate driver behavior. These scenarios were built using SCANeR Studio, allowing for dynamic event triggers, environmental changes, and traffic variations, providing researchers with versatile tools for data collection and analysis.

Research-Focused Interactivity:

Integrated interactive elements such as unpredictable pedestrian crossings and weather variations to simulate real-life driving challenges. These features enhanced the realism and effectiveness of the platform for behavioral research and training purposes.

Deployment & Optimization:

Led the deployment of the simulation on dedicated hardware setups, ensuring high performance, stability, and intuitive user interaction for both researchers and test drivers.
